Pinoys on Ladders

Pinoys on ladders will be a new series showcasing pictures of Pinoys on ladders. Mostly linemen without bucket trucks, these men on ladders are operating under dangerous and silly circumstances.  I mean look at these guys!

How ridiculous is that? Planted in the middle of the street, resting ON THE ELECTRICAL WIRE, and they moved the ladder several times up the road doing this until the two cables were tied together. Why did they not have a bucket truck to do this work? Bucket trucks do exist in the Philippines.

Using ladders, or rather misusing ladders, is dangerous. To rest the weight of a ladder on a hot electrical wire is asking for trouble.  Take a look at this guy:

Does using ladders always result in a horrible accident? No. But that is beside the point. You can drive for years not wearing a seat belt and never get into an accident but that does not mean you should do so. Just once is all it takes. The bottom line is that in the Philippines repairmen and construction workers absolutely do not know or understand or even care about the value of safety.

Without further ado here are Pinoys on ladders.
