Deceiving, Disgraceful, De Lima

Disgraced Senator Leila De Lima keeps disgracing herself and her office.

DETAINED Senator Leila De Lima admitted Monday that she did not sign the petition she had filed with the Supreme Court (SC) before notary public Maria Cecile Tresvalles-Cabalo last February 24, contrary to her earlier claim.
"Due to the fact of the conditions of incarceration that petitioner was suffering on that day, the act of signing was not done face to face with notary," the senator's lawyers said in a memorandum submitted to the SC.
"But the signature was presented to her immediately after the act of signing, with the notary having knowledge that petitioner was signing the petition. Despite these uncertainties, the notary public still took the additional step to verify the signature of the petitioner by asking for her proof of identification from her staffers," it added.
http://www.sunstar.com.ph/manila/local-news/2017/04/18/de-lima-admits-faking-portion-sc-petition-537049

De Lima did not sign her petition to the Supreme Court in front of a notary as the law requires.  But the notary knew she was signing it and took steps to verify that she did sign it without actually witnessing the signing.  So everything is ok right?  I mean it's just a technicality right?

Wrong.  It's the law.  And now De Lima has admitted to violating it.  This after insisting everything was above board.
"Senator De Lima said today that the Office of the Solicitor General's statement on the alleged defect on the notarization of her petition to the Supreme Court is a false allegation. It has no factual basis. The notary public met with her in Camp Crame; the notary public was in Camp Crame when she was brought there," Hilbay told the high court, reading portions of a statement De Lima made.
http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/03/21/17/did-de-lima-falsify-notarization-of-supreme-court-petition
This is the second time she has been caught lying.  When confronted with allegations she was having an affair with her driver she denied it.  Until the video came out and then she chalked it up to her "frailties as a woman."

Despite the fraud she is still insisting that her petition is genuine and valid and that she is not seeking any special treatment.
De Lima in her memorandum stressed that no one questioned the authenticity of the signature in the petition.

Her petition, she insists, was "genuine" and "valid."
In her memorandum, the senator said that she was not seeking special treatment from the SC when she decided to seek relief directly with the high court.
"She seeks only the fundamental right of every citizen to invoke the Constitution as shield and sword against government abuse," the memorandum read.
The senator, however, claimed that her petition is special, not because she is a senator but because of the "government's willingness to use its power to pin her down, as fulfillment to the promise made by President Rodrigo Duterte.
What a feat of double speak.  In a single breath she admits she is lying yet insists her petition is genuine and then she denies seeking special treatment but declares her case is special. And who cares is no one questioned the authenticity?  She knew it was inauthentic and submitted it anyway.

Is Leila De Lima so corrupt that she must have an external conscience to guide her?  Does she need Jiminy Cricket to lead her down the right path??

Her case is not special. She is charged with running drugs out of Bilibid Prison.  She is charged with corruption which is about as ordinary a charge as a politician can get in the Philippines.

Her whole reason to have her case dismissed in the first place was because of a technicality.
De Lima went to the SC after Guerrero ordered her arrest, despite a pending motion to dismiss her case on the basis that the Muntinlupa court lacked jurisdiction.
At no time has De Lima ever confronted the actual charges against her. Instead she has baselessly alleged that every witness who testified against her in the Senate last year was lying under duress. When confronted with an arrest warrant she attacked the court for not having the proper jurisdiction. Her mode of defence has been to ignore the charges and focus on technicalities.

That makes her charge against Solicitor General Jose Calida all the much more ironic.

"Desperate." This is how Senator Leila de Lima described the move of the Solicitor General seeking the dismissal of the senator's petition to nullify her arrest.
Solicitor General Jose Calida told the Supreme Court in a manifestation that De Lima supposedly falsified the notarization of her pleading.
"The senator said that the OSG attack is obviously borne out of desperation," it added.
In the same press release, De Lima maintained that Calida's allegation "has no factual basis."
http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/03/21/17/de-lima-solgen-resorting-to-basest-of-technicalities-not-arguments
And not just ironic but an outright lie.  Turns out De Lima was the desperate one seeking to keep her lie from being discovered.

Well now the tables have turned, her lie has been admitted, and if she wants to play the technicality card then the Supreme Court should toss her petition because she did not sign it in front of a notary as the law requires.

What will the international community she appeals to have to say about this revelation?  Will the Inter-Parlimentary Union take this into account when they visit the Philippines for their investigation in the the matter?

De Lima lied about her affair and she lied about her petition even going so far as to impugn the Solicitor General. What else has she lied about?

How soon until she confesses her guilt in running drugs out of Bilibid Prison? If she does admit her guilt it will be a non-confession chalked up to her "frailties as a woman" or some other such nonsense.

Senator De Lima is Sad She Can't Participate in Idol Worship this Good Friday

Disgraced Philippines Senator Leila De Lima is in a deep sadness this Good Friday.  Why?  Because they have crucified her Lord?  She must be a very devout Christian. A real worshipper of Jesus Christ her Lord and Saviour. Right? Wrong!

http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/888909/good-friday-brings-deep-sadness-to-de-lima

“For the first time in my life, I won’t be able to join the Good Friday procession in our home parish. I will not be there to touch the image of our dear AMA, the Santo Entierro, and say my most intimate prayer,” De Lima lamented.
“The mere thought of missing this annual spiritual experience, this lifetime “panata” of mine, produces a revolting emptiness inside me. It’s like being cast away in an abyss of despair,” she said.
She is sad because she can't engage in her annual ritual idol worship.

Easter is one of the greatest time for national cosplay in the Philippines.  All across the country devotees scourge themselves with whips and some even go so far as to crucify themselves half naked like Jesus with their crucifers dressing up like Roman centurions. Most however join Good Friday processions showcasing the stations of the cross.  What De Lima wants to touch and pray to is an idol of the dead body of Jesus Christ that looks like this:

https://bicolanopenguinswonderlog.wordpress.com/2013/04/01/good-friday-procession-in-fatima-parish-iriga-city-2/

That is the exact idol from her parish. Though there is a lot of variation in this particular idol the idea is the same: a wooden idol of the dead Christ ensconced inside a gold-trimmed glass coffin.

The usual highlight of Good Friday is the Santo Entierro ("holy interment"), which is the name of both the rite and the wooden or resin sculpture of the dead Christ lying supine used in the ritual.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Week_in_the_Philippines#Santo_Entierro
Where do they even get the idea for this idol?  Jesus was a poor man and though he was buried in a rich man's tomb he was wrapped up like a mummy and buried in a stone sepulchre in the common manner of the jews. He was not buried in a gold-trimmed glass coffin. The image is so horrific in its gaudiness and its unbiblical and blasphemous denial that he who was rich became poor for our sake. It is an image straight out of Snow White

not the Gospel.
John 19:40: Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
John 19:41: Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
John 19:42: There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
De Lima is sad that she cannot touch the wooden figurine of a dead Jesus and say her most intimate prayer.  Why?  Because her religion is a sham religion that relies on images and pictures.  She does not worship God in spirit and in truth. She worships him in the flesh and in lies. So does every other idolater.

The Santo Entierro idol is not a witness to the incarnation as the Seventh Ecumenical Council declared about images. It is a false image that bears witness to man's deceitful imagination which is only evil continually.  Her deceitful imagination even leads her to believe that she is being crucified.

http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/04/13/17/missing-lent-in-hometown-crucified-de-lima-to-spend-week-in-silent-reflection
“Beginning Wednesday evening, and up to Easter Sunday morning, I would prefer to be alone. I shall entertain no visitors as I intend to spend more time for prayers and reflections. I’ll be on a sabbatical within a sabbatical,” De Lima told ABS-CBN News in a letter.
“This is my reflection: I’m carrying a cross now and going through a crucifixion. In carrying my cross, I feel no disgrace or regret at all, but a renewed and fortified spirit to fight to the end,” said De Lima, the highest elected official so far detained on drug charges under the Duterte administration.
De Lima needs to stop striking a Jesus Christ pose.  Come on down off that cross Senator.  We could use the wood. If De Lima needs an idol to worship God then she is not worshipping God.  And if she is not worshipping God then it is no wonder that God does not answer her prayers.

Here They Come to Save the Day

The call has been heard and now the troops are coming to the aid of Senator Leila De Lima.

http://interaksyon.com/article/138317/global-interparliamentary-body-to-visit-de-lima-conduct-fact-finding-mission-on-leilas-case

What is the Inter-Parliamentary Union?

The IPU is the international organization of Parliaments (Article 1 of the Statutes of the Inter-Parliamentary Union). It was established in 1889.

The Union is the focal point for world-wide parliamentary dialogue and works for peace and co-operation among peoples and for the firm establishment of representative democracy.

To that end, it:
  • Fosters contacts, co-ordination, and the exchange of experience among parliaments and parliamentarians of all countries;
  • Considers questions of international interest and concern and expresses its views on such issues in order to bring about action by parliaments and parliamentarians;
  • Contributes to the defence and promotion of human rights - an essential factor of parliamentary democracy and development;
  • Contributes to better knowledge of the working of representative institutions and to the strengthening and development of their means of action.

Sounds like a whole lot of sound and fury signifying nothing.  So they foster dialogue between governments in an effort to further the cause of democracy in the world.  Their website lists "women in politics", "human rights", "sustainable development", and "education, science, and culture" as a few of their main areas of activity.  http://www.ipu.org/iss-e/issues.htm

That is a far cry from the initial reason of its foundation:
The organisation's initial objective was the arbitration of conflicts. The IPU played an important part in setting up the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague. Over time, its mission has evolved towards the promotion of democracy and inter-parliamentary dialogue. The IPU has worked for establishment of institutions at the inter-governmental level, including the United Nations, an organization with which it cooperates and with which it has permanent observer status.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inter-Parliamentary_Union

Basically the IPU is just another worthless international governmental body.  Human rights and women in government?  Members of the IPU include Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, and Myanmar as members. Those are countries known for their disdain of both human rights and women in government.

Now forgive my ignorance but I have never even heard of this body until today. Not even during my schooldays when studying WW I and the League of Nations did the IPU cross my radar. Why is that? It's because the United Nations does exactly what they do on a much larger scale which makes the IPU even less relevant than the UN. The IPU may have been first but the UN has taken the lead.  The IPU has permanent observer status at the UN and the two organisations work together closely. Seems like the IPU might as well be absorbed into the UN somehow.

Here is the document where the IPU recommends inquiring further into De Lima's case. The section concerning her starts on page 33.

I will spare you from having to read the whole thing and tell you that it ends with 11 statements wherein the IPU expresses deep concern, regular concern, wishes for more details, and a request that the case continue to be examined with a visit to the Philippines to meet with the Senate, De Lima, and her lawyers recommended.

In short it's a whole lot of hot air. It's less than sound and fury signifying nothing.  It is pure bureaucratic nonsense and gibberish, a thick fustian of bombast, and the most pompous baboonery typical of any government document. These resolutions resolve to do nothing more than to continue gathering facts of which it already has plenty. What more will a visit to the Philippines get them?  A good tongue lashing from Duterte no doubt.

Robredo appeals to the UN in a video. De Lima looks to the EU Parliament and the ICC to secure her release.  And this is the international body coming to the rescue of Senator Leila De Lima? The irrelevant and invisible Inter-Parliamentary Union? It's like asking the President to send the Army but instead he sends the Cub Scouts.

What a joke.

What does the EU Know?

Here we go again.  Disgraced Senator Leila De Lima is calling for her release from prison not because she has proved her innocence but because a foreign government body, the European Parliament, knows the truth and stands behind her.

http://www.philstar.com/headlines/2017/04/02/1686967/de-lima-eu-parliament-call-her-release-they-know-truth
Does the EU really know the truth about De Lima?  Did they watch the televised hearings?  Did they see De Lima's theatrics?  Did they watch her not defend herself but instead accuse her accusers of lying and place herself at God's mercy?  Did they watch this brilliant lawyer do everything but make use of the law to refute the charges against her?

No, probably not.

How can the EU know the truth about what is happening in the Philippines when they apparently do not even know what is happening in their front yard?

Does the EU know that Sweden is the rape capital of the world?

https://www.rt.com/uk/378164-farage-trump-rape-sweden/

Does the EU know that Angela Merkel's immigration policies have helped destroy Europe?

http://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/744955/Angela-Merkel-German-EU-destroy-migration-austerity-Brexit-Italy

Does the EU know that Turkish PM Erdogan has declared that Turks are the future of Europe?

https://www.rt.com/news/381166-erdogan-turks-five-children/

Does the EU know that ISIS is at the door and ready to attack and that they have used the "refugee crisis" to sneak in militants?

http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/739078/Europol-terror-threat-Isis-germany-uk-belgium

Does the EU know that there are no-go zones inhabited by Muslims scattered throughout various cites across Europe?

http://news.nationalpost.com/full-comment/europes-no-go-zones-inside-the-lawless-ghettos-that-breed-and-harbour-terrorists

Does the EU know that Western European culture and heritage is at risk of being destroyed?

http://www.express.co.uk/comment/columnists/leo-mckinstry/617147/Mass-immigration-verge-destroying-Europe

Does the EU know it has forgotten the face of its fathers, despised the blood spilled in the past by Europeans to protect Europe from the Muslims, destroyed its current and future heritage, put its people at risk, and has decided to commit cultural suicide and ethnic genocide? Is the EU so indifferent and blind to the needs of the people of Europe and to the rich cultural heritage of Europe that it would see Europe turn into a caliphate of the Islamic State or as an extension of North Africa and the peoples of Europe be bred out of existence?

How can the EU know anything about what is happening in a tiny island nation 5,000 miles away when it cannot even see or acknowledge the truth of what is happening right in its very front yard?

It is preposterous.

And for De Lima, Robredo, or anyone else to continue to appeal to the effete, weak, and ineffectual EU Parliament as some voice of moral authority when they have wilfully closed their eyes to the destruction their people and culture is the height of blindness and stupidity.

There have been decades of terrorism in the Philippines

Disgraced Senator Leila De Lima's newest ploy to put the heat on President Duterte is to file a resolution seeking "to investigate the failure of the Duterte administration to stop the Abu Sayyaf terrorist group from conducting kidnap-for-ransom activities."
In filing Senate Resolution No. 311, De Lima said the Senate Committee on National Defense and Security should look into the ability of government security forces to go agaisnt the Abu Sayyaf and other lawless groups.
“These lawless groups are not only sowing domestic terror, but may also prove to be a weak spot making us vulnerable to external threats,” De Lima said in a press statement.

The fact of the matter is that at no time whatsoever in the history of the Philippines has the government been able to destroy the terrorist activity happening in the south.

Simply scroll through this extensive list of terrorist attacks in the Philippines since the 70's.
Since January 2000 radical Islamist groups and Islamist separatist forces in the Philippines have carried out over 40 major bombings against civilians and civilian property, mostly in the southern regions of the country around MindanaoBasilanJolo and other nearby islands.[4] Numerous bombings have also been carried out in and around Metro Manila, though several hundred kilometres from the conflict in the southern regions, due to its political importance. In the period from 2000 to 2007 attacks killed nearly 400 Filipino civilians and injured well over 1500 more,[5] more casualties than caused by bombings and other attacks in Indonesia, Morocco, Spain, Turkey, or Britain during the same period.[4]

Is she going to call for an investigation into Marcos, the Aquinos, Ramos, Estrada, and Arroyo as well?

Terrorist Enablers??

Unlike the partisan and near-sighted De Lima Australian scholar Paul Wilson places blame for the continued existence of terrorism on the failed policies of every single president of the Philippines in an article titled "The Philippines - three decades of terrorism." His conclusion?
Unless President Arroyo, or her successor, begins to deal with the causes of terrorism, rather than just with its symptoms, we can expect to see even more guerrilla violence and the tentacles of terrorism spreading throughout this complex and highly volatile country.
 This was written in 2005.

Today, twelve years later, not even Europe can eradicate it's terrorist problem. Unrestricted and unlimited immigration has caused terrorism to raise it's evil head and the blood of hundreds has been spilt in recent years. With the worldwide threat of ISIS every country is at risk.

And De Lima seeks to blame Duterte for not putting an end to the decades of terrorism in the Philippines?

De Lima cannot honestly think Duterte is responsible for not destroying the terrorists in Mindanao. She is simply opening her mouth and saying everything and anything to take the heat off herself and put it on Duterte.

She is a desperate woman.  Her missives are nothing but the barkings of a scared little dog.  Despite all her rage she is still just a rat in a cage.

Terrorism must be confronted and it must be eradicated.  But placing the blame of decades of terrorism on the current president is absolutely dishonest and despicable.

The strange case of Leila De Lima

Leila De Lima would have the whole world believe she is a political prisoner. With the help of the international media she has taken the heat off herself and placed it squarely on President Duterte.  Look at these headlines:

New York Times:

United Press International:

Time:

ABS-CBN News:

Philippine law enforcers arrest Duterte critic on drug charges

Any mention of the charges against her (involvement in the drug trade) are swept aside as:
"plain and simple political persecution," adding that she had prepared herself to be the "first political prisoner under this regime."
De Lima was given much time to answer the charges against her.  She faced accuser after accuser in during the senate hearings related to her case.  Not a single time did she rebut any of the allegations against her. Each time she faced an accuser she acted the martyr.  She twisted her face and hands in a "woe-is-me" posture.  Invoking God time and again she said:
'May God forgive you for all your sins, and may God forgive you for all your lies about me,'
Continuing to ignore the allegations against her she brought up her own unproven allegations:
She alleged that the portion of Espinosa's affidavit that referred to her was made "under gunpoint, under duress." She said this is why "it's pointless for me to question him on those points."
"And I also feel that it would not be appropriate for me to do so because there would be questions on my objectivity, on my interest because I'm being implicated expressedly as having received that money," De Lima added.
http://www.rappler.com/nation/153354-de-lima-kerwin-espinosa-i-forgive-you

She refused to defend herself and instead threw herself upon the mercy of God.
“I trust in God to allow me to overcome all this. In the end the truth will come out and justice will be mine.”

Now, after penning a hand written letter to her family from jail, De Lima would have you believe she is Martin Luther King Jr.  Maybe she's right though. Let's take a look.

On April 16, 1963 Dr. King penned his famous "Letter from a Birmingham jail."  In this letter he defends himself and his actions during the fight for civil rights.

But more basically, I am in Birmingham because injustice is here. Just as the prophets of the eighth century B.C. left their villages and carried their "thus saith the Lord" far beyond the boundaries of their home towns, and just as the Apostle Paul left his village of Tarsus and carried the gospel of Jesus Christ to the far corners of the Greco Roman world, so am I compelled to carry the gospel of freedom beyond my own home town. Like Paul, I must constantly respond to the Macedonian call for aid.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Now compare that to De Lima's "Letter from a Manila jail

“While I’m psychologically prepared for this, my whole being cries out for truth and justice. My heart also bleeds for all other victims of injustice – those who were also falsely accused and now cramped in severely congested jails,” she said in the letter.
“But God, who is all-knowing and infinitely good and just, will make sure that EVIL will not triumph,” she said.
It's the exact same sentiments!

Here's something else that is that same about Martin Luther King Jr and Leila De Lima: Adultery!

King committed adultery again and again: Ava DuVernay's Oscar-nominated biopic “Selma” depicts King as being unfaithful to his wife, Coretta Scott King. Though the reasons this information is public knowledge isn't ethical -- the FBI wanted to use it to discredit King -- he cheated on Coretta so many times that she was reportedly disillusioned with their marriage.

De Lima:
Senator Leila de Lima has confirmed the long-running rumor that she was once in a romantic relationship with her former driver, Ronnie Dayan.
Asked why she fell in love with a driver like Dayan given her status, De Lima said in an interview with Winnie Monsod, which aired Monday night on GMA, that it was part of her “frailties as a woman.”

There is one difference however.  You can't watch Martin Luther King Jr committing adultery.  But you can watch Leila De Lima doing it with her driver.
