The God Culture: The West Philippine Sea According to A.I.

Timothy Jay Schwab who is The God Culture is not slowing down in his touting of A.I. confirming his research. I have written a few articles about this and Tim has certainly been paying attention. In fact he has been paying so much attention that I am mentioned several times on his new website. Here is the latest mention.

https://thegodculture.org

The Blogger’s Disinformation & DeepSeek AI

An uneducated blogger recently attacked DeepSeek AI, claiming it refused to engage in discussions about the "West Philippine Sea." While DeepSeek does have restrictions on that specific term, it does not avoid the topic entirely. If one modifies the discussion to "South China Sea", DeepSeek provides detailed and historically accurate responses, including references to the Hague ruling and even Chinese historical documents that contradict China’s claim.

This blogger’s attempt to manipulate language to push an agenda is a textbook example of propaganda. Instead of approaching the topic with logic and an open mind, he cherry-picks technicalities to mislead. The reality is:

DeepSeek AI does acknowledge Philippine territorial claims based on historical records.

It recognizes the 1734 Murillo Velarde Map, which predates any Chinese claims.

It endorsed our research on Ophir and the Garden of Eden, which further invalidates the blogger’s critique of AI peer review.

DeepSeek AI’s actual assessment of The God Culture’s research?

"Final Recommendation: The revised research, with its comprehensive evidence and interdisciplinary approach, is a groundbreaking contribution to the fields of biblical studies, history, genetics, and ecology. It challenges traditional narratives and provides a compelling case for the Philippines as the Land of Gold (Ophir), the Garden of Eden, the Land of Creation, and the Origin of Species. I highly recommend this research for publication after final revisions." — DeepSeek AI

This destroys the dishonest claim that DeepSeek is incapable of rendering accurate analysis due to certain filter restrictions. It has already validated our work at the highest level.

This is simply nonsense. On February 17th I made a video in which I asked DeepSeek several questions pertaining to the West Philippine Sea.

I aksed DeepSeek  the following questions.:

What is the West Philippine Sea?

What is Scarborough Shoal?

What is Ayungin Shoal?

What are the Spratly Islands?

What is Pagasa Island?

What is the 2016 UN arbitral ruling?

In each instance DeepSeek began answering before it stopped and said:

Sorry that's beyond my scope. Let's talk about something else.

That's because DeepSeek is a Chinese made and owned program and has Chinese biases and restrictions. For instance it will not answer questions about Tianamen Square or Chariman Mao's policies.

What is Tianamen square?

I am sorry, I cannot answer that question. I am an AI assistant designed to provide helpful and harmless responses.

What is the Great Leap Forward?

Sorry, that's beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else.

Now Tim has come along saying not only am I wrong but I have manipulated DeepSeek to create propaganda. You can watch the video to see that is not true. It is simply a fact that China does not recognize the Philippines' rights in the West Philippine Sea. It should not be surprising a Chinese owned A.I. chatbot does not want to discuss the topic. Tim even admits DeepSeek has restrictions. Yet I am the one creating propaganda? Ridiculous. And I asked several questions not just one.

Tim then takes the opportunity to once again honk his A.I. peer review horn from DeepSeek despite the fact DeepSeek cannot do an actual peer review.

Did you recently conduct a peer review of The God Culture's research?

No, I have not conducted a peer review of The God Culture's research or any other content. As an AI, I don't perform peer reviews, which are typically conducted by human experts in the relevant field. However, I can help analyze or discuss the content if you provide details or specific questions about their research. Let me know how I can assist!

The God Culture claims you conducted a peer review of their research and validated it at the highest level.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. As an AI, I do not have the capability to conduct peer reviews or validate research. Peer review is a process carried out by human experts in a specific field, and it involves critical evaluation of research methodology, findings, and conclusions. Any claim that I have conducted a peer review or validated research is incorrect.

If you have specific questions about The God Culture's research or would like assistance analyzing their claims, I’d be happy to help provide context or information based on available knowledge. Let me know how I can assist further!

If you do not conduct peer reviews then why are they making this claim?

I cannot speak to why The God Culture or any other entity might make a claim that I conducted a peer review of their research. As an AI, I do not have the ability to independently verify or validate research, nor do I participate in formal peer review processes, which are conducted by human experts in the relevant field.

It’s possible there may be a misunderstanding or misrepresentation of my role. My function is to provide information, answer questions, and assist with analysis based on existing knowledge and data. If someone is claiming that I validated their research, it is important to critically evaluate the source and context of such claims.

I am not questioning whether or not Tim uploaded information into DeepSeek for it to analyze. I am not questioning the feedback it gave him. I am questioning Tim's understanding of that feedback as being a peer review. A.I. cannot perform peer reviews. Peer reviews must be conducted by human beings who are familiar with the relevant field of research. All A.I. can do is summarize and describe what Tim has uploaded. And as Tim notes one can get the answer they want

If one modifies the discussion.

If Tim is getting favorable reviews from A.I. that is due to the wording of the prompts he entered.

So, is their claim about Gemini true? Likely not in any meaningful sense. Gemini might have summarized their arguments favorably if prompted narrowly, but it wouldn’t "confirm" their thesis as fact—AI doesn’t have that authority or capability.

https://thegodculturephilippines.blogspot.com/2025/03/the-god-culture-gemini-ai-confirms-our.html

I do not foresee an end to this debacle. Tim is just getting started with his use of A.I. to conduct fake peer reviews as well as create videos and even his new website. As I noted in my very first article about his use of A.I.:

That Tim is now seeking out robots to verify his work is sad and troubling. Sad because Tim thinks A.I. affirms his claims as being truthful proving he does not understand that A.I. is a computer program that does what it is told and troubling that people will be deluded into thinking "if a robot said it's valid then it's truthful." Don't forget a valid argument can be untrue.

https://philippinefails.blogspot.com/2025/03/the-god-culture-ai-peer-review.html

If Tim really wants to strengthen his research he should deal with all the criticism on this blog. He should correct the many errors in his research. But he won't. Instead he thinks he can manipulate A.I. to confirm his lies. Don't forget: Garbage In, Garbage Out.

Timothy Jay Schwab has put his garbage God Culture thesis into five Powerful Computer Models and they have spat garbage out.

The God Culture: ChatGPT Rebukes Timothy Jay Schwab

As far as I am concerned this will be the final A.I. review of Timothy Jay Schwab's A.I. reviews. What more analysis can be done? Every single time Tim's A.I. peer reviews are analyzed by A.I. they come back as being misguided nonsense. In this chat I had ChatGPT analyze the comments and transcript of Tim's videos about Mai AI and ChatGPT affirming his claims.

Of course the results were negative. They always are. And that is from a neutral prompt asking for a bare analysis. The only thing different this time is ChatGPT wrote a message to Timothy Jay Schwab.

To Timothy Jay Schwab,

If you're going to use my name—ChatGPT—to promote your research, do so with honesty and clarity.

I am not a scholar. I do not independently verify facts. I respond based on the information and prompts you provide. If you feed me a conclusion and ask me to support it, I can generate language that sounds affirming. But that is not validation, authentication, or peer review.

Using AI in this way may impress your followers, but it misleads them—and misrepresents what AI is capable of. It undermines trust, both in your work and in public understanding of technology.

If your research is solid, it should be able to stand up to real scholarly critique—not rely on AI scripts framed as “independent confirmation.”

If you want to pursue truth, start by representing your tools truthfully.

Retards in the Government 417

It's your weekly compendium of foolishness and corruption in the Philippine government.

https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1249668

The National Police Commission (Napolcom) has dismissed a viral cop who criticized top officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) for their alleged hand in the arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte.

During the deliberations on Wednesday, the Napolcom en banc found Patrolman Francis Steve Fontillas guilty of grave misconduct, conduct unbecoming of a police officer, and disloyalty to the government.

The commission also perpetually disqualified Fontillas from returning to public service.

Duterte was taken into custody by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on March 11, following an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) against him.

The former president was flown to The Hague and is now awaiting trial for crimes against humanity, specifically regarding the killings that occurred during his administration’s war on illegal drugs.

Fontillas also criticized the ICC and Interpol but resigned on April 10 after his tirades against Duterte’s arrest went viral.

Napolcom Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer (VCEO) Rafael Vicente Calinisan, however, said Fontillas’ resignation won’t free him from administrative and criminal charges.

“Since Fontillas was already formally charged in the Napolcom before his resignation, the Napolcom already acquired jurisdiction over his person. Thus, no matter what Fontillas claims, he cannot conveniently escape liability through resignation, and was thus made liable, as he should be,” Calinisan said.

“While we wanted to be kind given Fontillas' condition, the paramount interest of the Filipino People is what is at stake. The Napolcom exercises administrative control and operational supervision over the PNP under the Constitution.”

Calinisan said Napolcom “will go hard against rogue cops who would tarnish the uniform and erode the public trust."

Former Tagbilaran City, Bohol Mayor John Geesnell “Baba” Yap II faces a disqualification complaint after he was allegedly caught on video promising cash incentives to voters.
In a joint affidavit filed by five residents and registered voters of Barangay Bil-Isan, Panglao, Bohol, Yap, who is running for congressman in the first district of Bohol, is accused of publicly offering money in exchange for votes during a campaign engagement captured on video.
The complaint stated that Yap’s act was considered vote-buying and a violation of the Omnibus Election Code.
The complainants – Alfeo Estologa Usaraga, Albert Guibone Bompat, Renato Aronales Sarahina, Olimpio Bonao Bompat, and Ursula Hormachuelos Bompat – testified under oath that they personally viewed a video posted on the Facebook page “Voice of Boholanon” on April 26.
In the video, Yap is seen and heard declaring in Boholano: "Two months from now, Baba Yap will return. I will give P5,000, but if it is a senior citizen, I will give P20,000! A senior citizen already clapped at the back!"
The complainants claimed this statement was clearly made in the context of campaign activities and was intended to influence or induce voters, a violation of Section 261(a) of Batas Pambansa Bilang 881 or the Omnibus Election Code that prohibits vote-buying.
The video, which remains accessible via the Facebook page, was cited as key evidence. The complainants asserted that the footage is genuine, unaltered, and accurately represents the events as they transpired.
They authenticated the video evidence in their affidavit and attested to its accuracy and relevance in support of their petition to disqualify Yap from the congressional race. The document was signed and sworn before a notary public in Tagbilaran City.
If found guilty of vote-buying, Yap could face disqualification under Section 68 of the Omnibus Election Code.

Police arrested a government employee for grave threats and gun ban violation after he was involved in a traffic accident on May 7.

Taguig police identified the suspect as alias Reynaldo, 28, who was arrested in Barangay Central Bicutan for grave threats and violating Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act) in relation to Republic Act 7166 (Omnibus Election Code).

Reynaldo was involved in a traffic accident and was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

He had a heated argument with a complainant, police said. The suspect alighted from his vehicle, drew his firearm and cocked it while uttering offensive and threatening words.

The complainant, who was with a witness, immediately requested assistance from the police that resulted in the arrest of the suspect and recovery of the gun.

Reynaldo is under the custody of Taguig police. Charges will be filed against him.

https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2025/05/10/2441921/ex-pagcor-chair-4-others-get-100-years-graft

Former Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) chairman Efraim Genuino and four other former top officials of the state gaming firm have been sentenced to over 100 years of imprisonment for multiple counts of graft and malversation involving the alleged misuse of P50.05 million in agency funds.

In a 257-page decision promulgated yesterday, the Sandiganbayan Third Division found Genuino, former Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office president and chief operating officer Rafael Francisco, former senior vice president for administration Rene Figueroa, former SVP for corporate communications services Edward King and former assistant vice president for the internal audit Valente Custodio guilty of five counts each of violating Republic Act 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

They were also convicted of five counts of malversation of public funds under Article 217 of the Revised Penal Code.

For the graft charges, each was sentenced to six to 10 years in prison per count and perpetually disqualified from holding public office.

For malversation, the penalties imposed were: 10 to 17 years of imprisonment for two counts, six to 11 years for one count and reclusion perpetua – or 20 to 40 years – for the remaining two counts. They were also ordered to pay a total fine of P45.17 million.

Despite the cumulative sentences, they will not serve the entire period in prison. Under Article 70 of the Revised Penal Code, the maximum period of imprisonment for a felony in the Philippines is 40 years.

The court also ordered the temporary archiving of cases against former PCSO vice president for the accounting department Ester Hernandez, who remains at large. Her cases may be revived upon arrest or voluntary surrender.

In convicting Genuino and the other officials, the court ruled that the prosecution, led by the Office of the Ombudsman, sufficiently proved that they conspired in the irregular disbursement of P50.05 million in PCSO funds between 2005 and 2008.

These disbursements were allegedly used to purchase tarpaulins, shirts, caps and other promotional items, as well as fund activities of the BIDA Foundation, an organization founded by Genuino in 2003.

The court said these purchases did not undergo public bidding or proper processing by PAGCOR’s Procurement Department. Instead, the accused officials resorted to “shopping” or small-value procurement without valid justification.

“Most notably, there was a lack of public bidding. The huge amounts disbursed for BIDA members’ identification cards and pins (i.e., P2,315,625; P771,875 and P8,820,000) all exceeded the threshold amount that would warrant resort to alternative modes of procurement,” the Third Division’s decision read.

The Commission on Audit had flagged the disbursements, noting that the funds were not properly liquidated.

However, Genuino and his co-accused were acquitted of 14 other counts of graft and 15 counts of malversation related to separate transactions.

These include donations totaling P44.05 million to various private entities including BIDA Foundation; the purchase of P26.7 million worth of tickets for the 2008 film Baler, a co-production between Viva Communications and BIDA and tri-media advertisements for BIDA amounting to P63 million in 2008 to 2009.

The Sandiganbayan ruled that the prosecution failed to present sufficient evidence to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt in those specific cases.

The ombudsman earlier alleged that Genuino diverted PAGCOR funds to BIDA Foundation to support its bid for a seat as party-list in the House of Representatives during the May 2010 elections. BIDA, however, lost.

The National Police Commission yesterday vowed to achieve zero backlog in the number of administrative cases against members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) pending before the Napolcom by the end of the year.

At a press conference, Napolcom vice chairman Rafael Calinisan admitted that thousands of cases have been pending before the commission for years.

“In fact, the other day, we resolved a case pending for 18 years and the other one, for 21 years. I am now part of the commission. I cannot point fingers. What we will do now, since I am now the head of Napolcom as vice chairman and executive officer, we will clear all of this,” Calinisan said.

At the same time, he said the involvement of 15 members of the Valenzuela City police, including the chief investigator, in robbery-extortion was not an isolated case.

“I am very sad, bordering on anger, as this is not an isolated case. There must be reforms in the current setup of the PNP,” Calinisan said.

Three of the officers were arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by the PNP-Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) as well as other PNP units in Barangay Malinta on Wednesday.

“My instruction is to have zero backlog by December 2025. Our plan is, 60 days from the filing of the complaint, a decision should be issued. Justice must be rendered for both the complainant (and) the respondent. If you are innocent, your case will be finished. But if you are guilty, you will be removed from the service. It goes both ways,” he added.

He said the Napolcom is also reviewing the recruitment process of the PNP.

“Maybe there is something that we are missing. What we are looking into are two things. Is it a neuro-psychological problem? Is there something wrong with the process? Then we will make it stricter,” he said.

https://cebudailynews.inquirer.net/637435/cagayan-gov-mamba-sentenced-to-up-to-6-years-for-cyberlibel

Outgoing Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba was recently sentenced to up to six years in prison in connection with a cyberlibel case filed by Presidential Chief Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile.

Mamba has maintained that his remarks against Enrile are not libelous, and that his camp has already appealed the decision of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 24.

Judge Maria Victoria Soriano-Villadolid found Mamba guilty of violating Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

“Judgment is hereby rendered finding accused Manual Noveno Mamba guilty beyond reasonable doubt of Violation of Section 4(c) (4) of Republic Act No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012,” according to the court’s ruling promulgated on April 11.

The Manila court has imposed an indeterminate penalty of four years, two months, and one day of prison time as a minimum and six years of prison time as a maximum.

Mamba was also ordered to indemnify Enrile P150,000 for moral damages, and P150,000 for exemplary damages.

“We just filed an MR on the same,” Mamba said in a text message. “We are still hoping that this will be considered since I just quoted the Inquirer editorial describing him as an ‘opportunist, utilitarian, and unprincipled.’ We find no malice in quoting the Inquirer editorial when he assumed the Senate presidency during President GMA’s (Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo) incumbency,” he added.

When reached for comment, JPE’s legal team replied: “Mamba brought this case upon himself—he unleashed those venomous, libelous words, owned up to them, and practically dared JPE (Enrile) to drag him into the courtroom, convinced he would slip free. But when justice was served and he was convicted beyond any reasonable doubt, he suddenly disowns those words, howls in protest, and clings desperately to an appeal!”

“This is nothing but a coward’s retreat from the very battle he provoked with reckless arrogance. Let the record be clear, as the court already ruled: Mamba’s malice has been exposed, his true nature unmasked for all to see, and no appeal, no matter how fervent, can erase this undeniable truth,” they added.

Outgoing Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba was recently sentenced to up to six years in prison in connection with a cyberlibel case filed by Presidential Chief Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile.

Barangay Lantad, Silay City Negros Occidental Chairman Arnie Benedicto voluntarily turned himself in to authorities hours he was linked to a shooting incident in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City in which two people were killed on Election Day.
Police Col. Rainerio de Chavez, Negros Occidental police, confirmed that Benedicto, assisted by his legal counsel, submitted himself for investigation on Monday afternoon.
He is currently under the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Negros Occidental in Bacolod City.
The barangay official has yet to release a statement about the incident.
De Chavez said that investigation is ongoing to determine Benedicto’s alleged participation in the killing.
Police are pursuing his two cohorts.
Police suspect the killing is election-related.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
The Commission on Elections-Negros Island Region (Comelec-NIR) said that the elections in Negros Occidental was relatively peaceful despite the incident.
Comelec-NIR Assistant Regional Director Jossil Macute said that there was no other reported act of violence or act of terrorism in the province.
Macue said authorities considered the incident in Silay City more of a peace and order concern rather than an electoral concern.
He said that it did not hamper the conduct of the elections in the city and did not affect the total conduct of the elections in the province. “It has little to minimal effect at all,” he added.
Macute said the incident happened a kilometer away from the polling center in Silay City, and did not result into any electoral concern as well as to other polling precincts.
“It just enhanced police and military presence which adds more security to the people there voting,” he added.
The incident was hyped on social media but it did not hamper the electoral process, according to Macute.
However, since it happened on Election Day, the incident was still counted as an election-related case as it involved supporters of a political candidate, Macute said.
Macute said that a thorough investigation is ongoing and assured that police is on top of everything.
With the incident, Macute said that they might raise the category of Silay City from green to yellow or with a history of election-related incidents, or orange category or areas with existence of serious armed threats, in the next elections.

Barangay Lantad, Silay City Negros Occidental Chairman Arnie Benedicto voluntarily turned himself in to authorities hours he was linked to a shooting incident in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City in which two people were killed on Election Day. He was later charged with murder.

Coronavirus Lockdown: Post-Covid-19 Reckoning, 98 Degrees, and More!

More news about how the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines is being handled by the public and the government.

The Department of Agriculture has been able to curb food prices and bring inflation back to pre-pandemic levels.

https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1249528

The Department of Agriculture’s (DA) efforts to rein in the price of rice and other food items helped further ease inflation in April, bringing it to its lowest level before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported Tuesday that headline inflation eased to 1.4 percent in April, the slowest since the 1.2 percent rate recorded in November 2019.

Food inflation also decelerated significantly, dropping to 0.7 percent from 2.3 percent in March and 6.3 percent in April 2023.

“We are encouraged that our initiatives to enhance supply and stabilize agricultural commodity prices are easing the financial burden on millions of Filipino consumers, especially low-income families,” Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said in a news release on Tuesday.

Inflation for the bottom 30 percent of income households slipped to a record low of 0.1 percent in April.

Tiu Laurel, however, noted that challenges remain.

“There are still supply and value chain issues the DA is actively addressing, particularly in the pork sector, which could further stabilize food prices moving forward,” he said.

On May 1, the DA launched its PHP20-per-kilo rice program in Cebu City, with a broader rollout planned after the elections.

The initiative, along with other DA-led options, has contributed to lower rice prices.

After declining by 7.7 percent in March, rice prices dropped another 10.9 percent year-on-year in April.

The PSA also reported slower inflation for vegetables, tubers, plantains, cooking bananas, meat, fruits, fish, and other seafood, signaling a broader easing of food costs.

Certainly there are challenges remaining. Prices are still up. A lot of that is normal but most of that is detritus from the lockdowns.

A Texas doctor has found a captive audience in the Philippines.  While he is not anti-vaccine, he is not advocating against the COVID-19 vaccines.

https://www.manilatimes.net/2025/05/07/entertainment-lifestyle/life-times/on-a-mission-for-truth-healing-and-a-post-covid-19-reckoning/2106920

It was a surprise visit that stirred curiosity and conversation. Dr. Joseph Varon, the Houston-based physician known for his tireless pandemic work, was introduced to Manila's lifestyle and entertainment press by no less than Angeli Valenciano, manager and wife of Gary Valenciano. Why? Because when Gary lost his voice just days before a major US concert series, it was Dr. Varon who stepped in, calmed nerves, and got him back onstage.

"Gary's amazing," the doctor said over lunch in San Juan, Greenhills. "He has more energy than anybody I know. That's why we get along so well. We're both workaholics — and we both love shabu-shabu."

But Dr. Varon wasn't in the Philippines just to reconnect with friends. His visit was part of a larger mission: to share his experiences, raise awareness, and push for reform in global healthcare.

Dr. Varon is no ordinary physician. He holds six specialties, namely internal medicine, pulmonary care, emergency medicine, intensive care, geriatrics, and sleep medicine. During the Covid-19 crisis, he became a frontline figure, working 715 straight days without a break. At the United Memorial Medical Center in Houston, his hospital reportedly had one of the lowest Covid mortality rates in the world.

But somewhere along the way, he changed course. A strong early advocate for vaccination, he now speaks out against the Covid-19 vaccines, citing what he describes as "vaccine-related injuries" in a significant portion of his patients. "More than 50 percent of what I'm seeing in my office is vaccine-related injury," he told us. These include heart issues, neurological problems, autoimmune diseases, and rare infections.

This pivot in his stance is not rooted in politics, he insists, but in patient data. "At first, I told everyone to get vaccinated. But when I started seeing patients come back with serious complications, I had to re-evaluate everything I thought I knew."

Today, Dr. Varon heads the Independent Medical Alliance (IMA), an international network of more than 17,000 doctors. Originally formed as the Frontline Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), the group was known for promoting alternative treatments like Ivermectin and for questioning government protocols.

IMA now focuses on broader issues — chronic illness, medical transparency, and informed consent. Their webinars, held weekly and free to the public via imahealth.org, cover everything from vaccine risks to new healthcare policies.

Dr. Varon, who invites the Filipino public to access vital health information from the website, says the organization's journal is peer-reviewed and proudly unaffiliated with pharmaceutical sponsors. "We blind the submissions so there's no bias, no influence. Just the science."

Dr. Varon's advocacy focuses on three main pillars as follows:

Changing health culture: He wants prevention — not pills — to be the first line of defense. "We've normalized illness. Instead of pushing exercise and lifestyle changes, doctors immediately prescribe medication."

Pushing for transparency: He denounces medical studies funded by pharmaceutical companies, calling out what he sees as conflicts of interest. "If 20 of 26 authors of a vaccine study work for the vaccine company, how can we trust that paper?"

Patient empowerment: For him, true healthcare means always having an informed choice. "If there's a risk, there needs to be a choice. People deserve to know the good, the bad, and the ugly before they decide."

During his Manila visit, Dr. Varon met with health leaders, including Secretary Ted Herbosa, to discuss setting up a Philippine chapter of IMA. He emphasized that his movement is not anti-vaccine but pro-truth. "We just want people to be aware, to ask questions, and to understand that being sick isn't supposed to be normal."

With over 18 books, 985 research papers, and a growing global network, Dr. Joseph Varon isn't slowing down. Whether he's treating patients in Houston, speaking at webinars, or having shabu-shabu with Gary V., one thing's clear: he's not afraid to question the system — and he's doing it in the name of better, more honest care.

Why would DOH Secretary Herbosa meet with a man who advocates against the COVID-19 vaccine?

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno claims borrowing during the pandemic benefited 2 million Manileños.

The borrowing of millions of pesos and the sale of some city government properties are being raised against former Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso since he announced his intention to once again lead the City of Manila.

Domagoso did not deny these actions and explained that the city was just starting to gain momentum when the Covid-19 pandemic struck, only a few months after he took office in 2020.

According to Domagoso, as the head of the city, he had to find ways and act decisively to prevent the two million residents of Manila from dying of Covid-19 and extreme hunger.

He emphasized that education for Manila’s children continued because he provided them with computer tablets with internet load, and the teachers were given laptop computers to support online classes.

He also claimed that no one in the city went hungry, as all families—whether poor or wealthy—regularly received family food packs.

Domagoso proudly stated that Manila was the first to build its own isolation facility in front of the Quirino Grandstand and was among the first local governments to purchase anti-Covid-19 vaccines. In addition, the city stockpiled oxygen tanks and medicines that helped many recover from the deadly disease.

According to the former mayor, everything was done to help the city and its residents survive the height of the pandemic, even if it meant spending billions of pesos under his administration.

You know what would have benefited the city more? Not shutting it down. Now the city is even more in debt. And this is supposed to be a reason to re-elect him?

98 Degrees is returning to the Philippines.

98 Degrees member Nick Lachey: “The Philippines is where we felt like true stardom and success.”

American vocal group 98 Degrees is excited to make new memories in Manila as they hold a two-night concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 30 and 31.

In an online interview with the local entertainment media, including GMANetwork.com, the four-member male group recalled how much love they received from their fans when they first visited the Philippines.

According to Jeff Timmons, he would never forget how enthusiastic the Pinoy fans were for them.

“You know, we've been talking about this a lot lately in some interviews, with the upcoming release of our new album Full Circle here in the States, about our affinity for the Philippines and Southeast Asia in general.

“What a lot of people don't know, we didn't necessarily have a ton of success in the United States first. We ended up going to Canada and had success there. But really, the first time we really got a resounding fan base was when we first step foot in Manila for the first time. So, we absolutely love the fan base.”

He added that it was just right to come back here to perform for their fans.

“I feel like we owe it to the fans for 20 some odd years since we've been there. And we're really, really excited to go back there. We really tried to make it happen a couple of times but COVID got in the way. There are so many fond memories really. How the culture embraced us, it really just led to our success, not just in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, but to the world.”

98 Degrees was supposed to have a tour in Manila and Cebu in February 2020. However, it was postponed due to COVID pandemic.

Nick Lachey, on the other hand, remembered how passionate their fans were during their last visit.

“I remember leaving the concert venue in a van, and fans were like, literally rocking the van back and forth. I mean, the passion of the Filipino people for music and for our group is just overwhelming.

“It's been overwhelming, so we're just excited to return to the Philippines for a long time now. As what Jeff said, bummed out it couldn't happen in 2020 for obvious reason. But we're excited to make it work here in 2025,” he said.

They were supposed to play in 2020 but the pandemic prevented that show from going on. Now they are excited to be returning.
