Retards in the Government 21

This is the 21st edition of Retards in the Government and it is a packed house in here!  25 retards in one blow have all been deprived of their police powers! 25! The political corruption never ends in the Philippines.

http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/943828/2-sss-officials-accused-of-bribery

Bribery.  Stock markets.  Social Security System. With billions floating around corruption can be tempting.

http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/943631/dionisio-santiago-quits-as-ddb-chief-report-ddb-dionisio-santiago-resign-rodrigo-duterte-drugs
The head of the country’s narcotics control body has resigned after just five months in the job, the second successive official to vacate the post after making statements contradicting President Rodrigo Duterte.
“My rule is the boss is always right and if you think the boss is not right, refer to rule No. 1,” Santiago said, adding he had already submitted a two-sentence resignation letter.
Never, ever, ever contradict Duterte especially if he has placed you in a position of power.  Only the most ungrateful would ever dare speak contrary to what Duterte has decided.  Remember what happened to the guy before him?

https://www.rappler.com/nation/170839-duterte-fires-ddb-benjamin-reyes-contradict-government
Initial reports were wrong about Dionisio Santiago quitting.  He too was fired albeit he was given the option, after forty-four years of government service, to quietly resign rather than be publicly excoriated.  How nice of Duterte.
http://www.philstar.com/headlines/2017/11/08/1756931/duterte-santiagos-mega-drug-rehab-comment-i-was-offended
"I was hurt because I served the government for 44 years. Hindi ito ang way out na ine-expect ko," Santiago added.

Plunder rap?  I wish.

My name is Sonny and I'm here to say
I threaten to file lawsuits everyday
Watch your back when step 'round me
Cus if you don't you're next ya see!

What a mess this situation is.  Now they have finally decide to charge him for his role in this tragedy. Funny thing is Duterte and Triallanes both agree about disagreeing with this decision.

http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/944009/we-wont-back-a-revolutionary-govt-defense-afp-chiefs-assure-robredo
Some Filipinos say they really want Duterte to declare a revolutionary government.  They are openly in favour of a dictatorship. Lorenzana now says "No way." He must be a Yellow destabiliser!

Four years later and the job is still not done! Just imagine how the Marawi rehabilitation will turn out four years from now.

This is the same guy who tells the EU to F-off and stop messing with Philippine sovereignty when they criticise the drug war.
Seeing as how this happened last month that means this is either politically motivated or these guys are very slow. Probably both are true.

25 alleged narco politicians deprived of police powers but allowed to remain in office? Unproven allegations will destroy a man's life these days. All these men will likely end up dead during a raid at 2 am.

https://www.rappler.com/nation/187832-end-illegal-drugs-nearly-impossible-duterte-term-pdea-chief-aquino
Nearly impossible to end illegal drugs by 2022?  Ya don't say!  No kidding! Who'd've thought? Expect this guy to be forced to resign for offending Duterte.

Did the Inquirer Plagiarise an Article From the CBC?

"Everywhere around the world they're coming to (North) America!"
http://usa.inquirer.net/7864/hiring-filipinos-key-success-says-canadian-farm-equipment-makers
A farm equipment manufacturer in this tiny Canadian town says hiring immigrants from the Philippines has been a key to its success.
Esteban de La Cruz is among those recruits. He moved to Frontier with his family in 2008 and now works, along with wife Elvie, at Honey Bee.
New arrivals from the Philippines are a regular feature in Frontier, and De La Cruz told CBC News  that he likes to personally welcome them with a party that includes food, drink and karaoke.
De la Cruz says he likes living in Frontier where it’s quiet and safe for his kids to grow up in.
Honey Bee has been recruiting workers from the Philippines since 2008, using the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program.
Henry Fehr, human resource manager, said Honey Bee needed engineers, welders and assembly line workers but could not find enough of them in Western Canada. Canadian workers “just won’t come” because Frontier is 100 miles from the nearest traffic light and the nearest Wal-Mart.
Fehr said it takes eight months to bring families to Frontier as landed immigrants who can begin the process of becoming Canadian citizens, if they choose.
Honey Bee helps the workers get settled, giving them furniture, helping them get vehicles and renting some apartments and duplexes in Frontier so that Filipino families have a place to stay. The company also helps out with the first few months of rent.
Hiring from the Philippines has paid off, according to general manager Brad Nelson, who says he can’t imagine the company existing today without it.
I was going to write about how it's stupid to be spending money to hire Filipinos from halfway across the world when there is guaranteed to be somebody in Canada who can fill the position.  I would have mentioned that the company likely gets huge tax breaks which offset the costs of hiring a worker from 10,000 miles away and providing him with a car, an apartment, and furniture.  Next I would have noted how it's pretty funny the Filipinos are welcomed with karaoke and a fiesta.  Not an all night fiesta I am sure.

Also I might have made mention that Filipinos seem to flourish once they make it outside of the toxic culture of the Philippines.
De la Cruz says he likes living in Frontier where it’s quiet and safe for his kids to grow up in.
Quiet and safe? 100x more than the Philippines that's for sure, eh!

Maybe I would have posted the article about the Jollibee that recently opened in Winnipeg.
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-38333694
This is a real testament to how many Filipinos are actually living in Canada. Is there a Tim Horton's in the Philippines?

https://www.rappler.com/life-and-style/best-eats/162393-tim-hortons-coffee-shop-manila-photos-prices

I was planning on writing about all that stuff. Well forget about it!  I am not going to write about any of that. While researching what kind of tax breaks this company could receive I stumbled on something quite hilarious. Not only does Honeybee Mfg make it a point to hire foreigners rather than Canadians but this article in the November 8, 2017 edition of the Inquirer is actually a reprint from an article the CBC posted three years ago. (Yeah I could have just clicked the link in the article but I didn't.)  It is tweaked a little.  They changed a few words but it is essentially the same article!  Take a look for yourself.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/firm-in-tiny-sask-town-flourishing-with-filipino-workers-1.2616992
A farm equipment manufacturer in the tiny town of Frontier, Sask., says hiring immigrants from the Philippines has been a key to its success.
In recent years, Honey Bee Manufacturing has filled 35 jobs at its Frontier combine header plant from the Philippines — just under 20 per cent of its workforce.
Among those immigrants is Esteban de La Cruz, who moved to the community in the southwest corner of the Prairie province with his family in 2008 and now works, along with wife Elvie, at Honey Bee.
New arrivals from the Philippines are a regular feature in Frontier, and De La Cruz says he likes to personally welcome them with a party that includes food, drink and karaoke.
"Those Filipinos who have just arrived are well-adjusted because they can see already some Filipinos, which is different than when I first came to Frontier," he said.
"It's nice to live here, especially if your kids are young," he added. "It is very quiet and very peaceful. Almost all people know each other and people greet you with a smile. You don't worry about your kids getting hurt."
Honey Bee's recruitment drive, aimed at the Philippines, has been underway since 2008.
The company's human resources manager, Henry Fehr, said Honey Bee needed engineers, welders and assembly line workers but could not find enough of them in Western Canada.
"What happened for us is when [Canadian workers] find out where we are, they just won't come," Fehr explained. "We're 100 miles from the nearest traffic light. 100 miles from the nearest Wal-mart. 100 miles from the nearest Tim Hortons."
Honey Bee is using the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program to bring workers to the province.
Fehr said it's an eight-months long process to bring families to Frontier. When they arrive, he said, they have the status of a landed immigrant and can begin the process of becoming Canadian citizens, if they choose.
Many workers also bring family members with them, ready to start a new life.
"When you go to an airport and you meet a mother, a father and say three children and they've got three suitcases — for their entire life — that's a unique challenge," Fehr said.
"We help them establish a new life," he added. "We give them furniture. We help to get vehicles ... all those sorts of things."
Honey Bee is also renting some apartments and duplexes in Frontier so that Filipino families have a place to stay. the company is also helping out with the first few months of rent.
While the firm has spent some money to build the workforce it needs hiring from the Philippines has paid off, according to general manager Brad Nelson.
"I don't know how we would continue to exist today, doing the manufacturing that we're doing, at the level we're doing it all, without them," Nelson said. "I don't think we could, quite frankly."
Nelson notes, with pride, that Honey Bee is a market leader in combine headers adding their products are sold worldwide.
Why did the Inquirer choose to edit and republish a three year old article? Although there is a link to the CBC in the midst of the article there is no attribution to the CBC in the byline. Why not?  Because the Inquirer did not publish the exact same article. They tweaked it. They dropped a few details and combined sentences or rearranged the wording of sentences. Above I have bolded everything that the Inquirer dropped.  All the rest is either included verbatim or in a tweaked version.

Is this plagiarism? Did the Inquirer plagiarise an article from the CBC?  That's exactly what it looks like.

Retards in the Government 20

This is part 20 of Retards in the Government. It's as if everyone with the tiniest amount of political power is doing everything he can to hold onto it and hold the Philippines back.

http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/nation/631857/house-approves-on-2nd-reading-bill-exempting-gov-t-execs-from-preventive-suspension/story/
So this bill means that if you were a Mayor and you were corrupt and then you became President you could not be suspended if you were charged for crimes you committed as Mayor.  Basically this law acknowledges that politicians bounce from office to office leaving a trail of corruption.
Oh no we're leaking money! This seems to be a problem throughout the various bureaucracies.

A nationwide cigarette smoking ban but jeepenies belching black smoke are still permissible. So many quality of life issues which need to be handled here in the Philippines. Cigarette smoking is the least of the problems in the Philippines.  If they cannot enforce the dog and noise and traffic ordinances which are already on the books then how can they be expected to enforce a brand new ordinance banning cigarette smoking in public?

Duterte said independent agencies should be the one to investigate his son. Now that the ombudsman has called his bluff and has begun an investigation into the shabu shipment which involves his son be sure to expect louder calls for her impeachment and resignation and more bluster from Duterte.

More cases to clog up the courts and waste people's time and still not a peep on a proper investigation into the Marawi attacks.

Only stripped of police control?  Why not kicked out of office too? These men will probably all end up dead.

Martial Law: Stragglers

The battle has officially been over in Marawi for two weeks now. The displaced have been returning and the AFP has begun pulling out.  A lucky few even got to take a trip to Hong Kong.

http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/941988/duterte-female-soldiers-who-fought-in-marawi-already-on-hk-holiday
The female soldiers who fought in the five-month Marawi siege were already on an all-expense paid trip to Hong Kong, President Rodrigo Duterte said Tuesday night.
“They are already there,” Duterte said when a reporter asked about his promised Hong Kong vacation to the female soldiers.
He said budget airline Cebu Pacific paid for their airfare while he took care of their allowances.
The President did not disclose the date the soldiers left for Hong Kong and how long they would stay there.
Sounds pretty sweet. An all expense paid trip to Hong Kong with pocket money straight from Duterte's pocket. Hong Kong a nice place. It will be wonderful to hear the interviews with these ladies once they return. Such PR could only be good for Duterte. I really do look forward to hearing and reading interviews with these ladies who went to Hong Kong. Because of course they really did go on an all expense paid trip to Hong Kong and this is absolutely not a PR stunt by Duterte.

A smaller lucky few even got to travel with Duterte to Japan during his recent visit.

https://www.rappler.com/nation/187026-duterte-brings-marawi-soldiers-japan-unwind
After 5 long months of battle in Marawi, the top military officers who served there were rewarded with a trip to Japan, care of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Duterte said he allowed some top commanders to accompany him on his recent visit to Japan.
"The ones I brought along are really the top commanders. I just invited them for a respite," said Duterte on Monday night, October 31, after arriving from Tokyo.
"I just brought them to unwind. At least they have time for sight-seeing," he added.
Good thing these top commanders got a chance to unwind after the harsh 5 months of battle. Sight seeing in Tokyo must be pretty cool. So is the weather this time of year. And now that the battle is over the top commanders aren't needed in Marawi at all.  Right?

http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/nation/631683/2-maute-stragglers-including-hapilon-s-alleged-right-hand-man-killed-in-marawi/story/

http://www.philstar.com/headlines/2017/11/02/1754814/indonesian-isis-39-mautes-still-marawi

http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/11/04/17/stragglers-a-threat-to-marawi-military-says

The news that stragglers remain in the city of Marawi should be a surprise to no one least of all to top commanders who conveniently were taken out of the the war and sent on holiday to Japan with Duterte.  Whether the Indonesian is lying is not the point. His very presence confirms the real danger of Maute remnants and the AFP recognises this.

While the ladies of the AFP are allegedly taking a break in Hong Kong their counterparts are hard at work clearing the city of stragglers and bombs.
http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/942589/4-soldiers-wounded-by-exploding-ieds-in-marawi

This is all ridiculous. Duterte declared the city freed of militants after Hapilon and Maute were killed and then a week later as combat operations were officially declared ended the AFP begun to slowly withdraw and allow evacuees to return to select areas.  Rather than secure the city and make sure it is 100% clear of bombs and terrorists before allowing anyone to return the AFP pulled out much needed men and some of them even allegedly went on holiday outside the country!

WHAT MADNESS!!! Is the AFP purposely trying to lose the war? There are only 7 weeks left of martial law. Isn't this the time to use all the resources they have to root out and destroy as many terrorists as possible in Mindanao? At least these men should be securing the city. It's the tortoise and the hare. Like the hare the AFP has ran far ahead (or so they think) and have decided that a nice nap won't do any harm. Now they are awake and there are stragglers ahead of them reaching the finish line.

It's no wonder that Australia has issued a travel warning for it's citizens.

http://news.abs-cbn.com/overseas/11/03/17/australia-warns-against-travel-to-ph-cites-high-threat-of-terror-attack
Guess how Malacañang responded to Australia's warning.

http://www.philstar.com/headlines/2017/11/05/1755791/palace-allays-terror-fears-philippines-safe
It’s “generally safe” for foreigners to travel, work or study in the country, Malacañang said yesterday as it allayed fears sparked by Australia’s alerting its citizens to possible terror attacks in the Philippines, including in Metro Manila.
Roque assured the public that there are no monitored terror threats so far in Manila and elsewhere in the country.
“The Philippine government has no information about any increased terror threat in the country and we assure our foreign friends that local authorities have been enforcing tight security measures, especially in populated areas while we urge everyone to continue being aware of one’s surroundings,” he said.
http://www.philstar.com/headlines/2017/11/05/1755809/lone-wolf-attack-intl-security-concern
Security officials are not ruling out the possibility of a lone wolf attack in key areas of the country, including Metro Manila.
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana stressed the possibility of a lone wolf attack during the Association of Southeast Asia Defense Ministers Meeting (ADDM)-Plus held last month at Clark Field in Pampanga.
On Friday, the Australian embassy issued an alert to its citizens, warning of a high probability of terror attack in Mindanao and Metro Manila.
“I believe that’s one of their reactions to what happened recently in New York and there seems to be a pattern emerging because of the incidents that also happened in other countries,” Andolong said.
Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) spokesman Maj. Gen. Restituto Padilla said Australia’s travel advisory was just issued by its embassy in Manila to reiterate its previous travel warning.
Padilla earlier warned of the possibility of a lone wolf attack, particularly from sympathizers of the Islamic State-linked Maute group who were defeated by government forces in the five-month battle to retake Marawi City.
Padilla, however, assured the public the military has not monitored any credible terror threats in Metro Manila or in other key areas of the country.
According to the Philippine government the Australians have issued a general non-specific terror warning for the PHILIPPINES because of the recent terrorist attack in NEW YORK on Halloween and not because of any specific threat of terror attacks in the Philippines. The Philippines remains a safe a place even though it is full of shabu users who will kill you at any moment and require a bloody drug war to be put down and despite the high risk of a lone wolf attack in retaliation for the ISIS defeat at Marawi. Even though Duterte and high ranking military officials and experts around the globe have chimed in to say that the Philippines remains a hot bed of jihad and the risk for terror attacks remains high and Mindanao is FULL of ISLAMIC terrorist groups which could strike at any moment there is nothing to be concerned about because there have been no SPECIFIC credible threats to any part of the country. Please visit. Mabuhay. It's more fun in the Philippines.
http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/939901/duterte-be-prepared-for-any-terrorist-attack

Aside from the regular nastiness of the philosophy of jihad and the religion of Islam the greatest reason for a terror attack is Congress dragging it's feet on the BBL.

https://www.rappler.com/nation/186765-duterte-trouble-congress-bangsamoro-basic-law-not-passed-swiftly
"I will urge Congress to fast-track it because they are getting impatient," Duterte told reporters at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City, before leaving for an official visit to Japan
The President was referring to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), which have been pushing for the passage of the BBL, which would expand the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
"If we do not act on it (the BBL) expeditiously, I think that we are headed for trouble," the President warned.
Translation: Pass the BBL or there will be more terrorism.  That is blackmail and should not be taken lightly.  MILF, MNLF, and all the other Islamic terrorist groups want their own Islamic state.....or else! And Duterte is too eager to give it to them. Duterte, and other politicians, is perfectly fine with these terrorist groups holding the Philippines hostage for the sake of obtaining their very own Islamic State.

What would such a thing accomplish but more terrorism as each group fights for control? Already the ARMM should be enough. Like any region in the Philippines the ARMM is full of corruption and coupled with the inevitable violence the BBL will be much worse.
Moro National Liberation Front founder Nur Misuari has asked the anti-graft court Sandiganbayan to order a reinvestigation of his criminal cases in connection with the alleged anomalous procurements amounting P115.2 million during his term as the governor of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Even if Misuari is not guilty of corruption he is guilty of being a rebel and a terrorist and is an enemy of the state who has repeatedly done his best to destabilise the country. Why is Duterte negotiating with men like him?  Why is anyone eager to pass the BBL and give a large part of Mindanao over the control of terrorists?  Anyone supporting the BBL is spitting in the face of every soldier who fought in Marawi and who has fought in the decades long war against the ISLAMIC terrorists who have wrecked havoc throughout the country and will continue to do so as long as they are permitted to exist.

More Fake Honey

Really tired of this nonsense.  Fake honey again.  This time in the mall.  Take a look.

How do I know the honey is fake?  Because honey is not sold in such quantities.  Take a look at that huge container of honey in the first picture. That is ridiculous! Never ever in my life I have I seen real honey sold in a container that huge. It's always small quantities in little jars or bear shaped squeeze bottles.

Now look at the bottom pic.  That is green honey.  GREEN HONEY!!? For 1405 pesos!!??

The saleslady told me the honey is green because the bees live under rocks. She also said ALL the honey is harvested from the wild meaning that men go from hive to hive in the jungle and take from the bees. No bee farms. What a joke! It's like expecting to harvest a huge batch of wild corn growing in the jungle at random.  The only way to get such huge quantities of real honey or any food is to farm it.

And how about the second to last pic?  What is that?  I thought it was royal jelly.  Nope! It's honey in some kind of stasis. I don't know I forget exactly what she said but who cares because this stuff is obviously fake.

Thankfully there was a sample available.

It tasted like not real honey and it looked like not real honey too. It was thick and granular like sugar! The same fake mix of real honey and sugar. Honey does not look like that.

Now it just so happened that before I went to the mall I had bought a small bottle of real honey from a guy I trust and I had it in my bag.  This honey tastes like honey, looks like honey, moves like honey, and I am sure it is real honey.  You shake the bottle and the honey gets a white foam.  Not so for this fake mall honey.  I shook a jar and there was nothing. I was going to pull out my small bottle and show her the difference but I did not.

Here is the information card about the honey.

Health benefits
The food scams in the Philippines are always the same. Filipinos LOVE Western technology like cell phones and basketball but they sure do HATE Western medicine. So the scam is you tell a Filipino that product X is good for your health in so many ways and these gullible folks will throw their money at you. Can you read the picture listing the benefits of pure wild honey?  Here are some highlights:

1.   Improves Memory
3.   Hangover Helper
11. Parasite Killer
17. Shortens the duration of diarrhoea in children
25. A substitue for shaving cream

A SUBSTITUE FOR SHAVING CREAM!!!!???  That is too funny and if I ever made a movie about life in the Philippines it would feature a scene where a guy actually tries to shave using honey. And it would not be special effects.  We would be sure to use real fake honey. Smear it all over his face and give him a brand new razor and have at it.

The brand of fake honey is "Wise Man's Food Pure Honey."  They do not even have a Facebook page which is odd. Everyone and everything here in the Philippines has a Facebook page. With a zero web presence there is no way to tell who this company is.

The bottom line is stay way from this fake honey seller. Watch this special report on green honey in the Philippines.
