Retards in the Government 22

Part 22 of our ever growing series "Retards in the Government."  With ASEAN happening its been a little slow but I expect more headlines concerning political corruption once the event is over.

“If you would recall, the 10,000-bed mega-facility was built for the recovery and treatment of drug addicts in the country,” he said.
“However, from the beginning, we, particularly our health officials, do not envision this to be a permanent structure he added.
Roque said the rehabilitation facility would eventually be turned over to the military once the drug problem has been resolved.
“Our long-term vision is once the drug problem has been resolved, this can be turned over to the military who owns the land or other agencies of government that can utilize, manage and optimize the facility,” he said.
A Chinese tycoon "donated" this facility to the Philippines and even Duterte was executed about it.  Only it turns out that Duterte does not really believe in rehabilitation (‘Shabu addicts beyond redemption’) and of course the PNP went hog wild and killed so many people that it would have been better if the drug rehab centre had been a 10,000 grave facility rather than a 10,000 bed facility.  And now Roque says this rehab centre was never meant to be a permanent place of healing but would eventually be turned over to the military once the drug problem had been resolved! It's like building a hospital and then saying it will be turned into a mall once the health problem has been resolved. They are admitting it is a mistake which is the very reason Santiago was fired from the head of the DDB.

Drugs are bad mmmkay? Which is why the Duterte administration really needs to set down a drug policy they can follow.  Prevention plus enforcement plus rehabilitation. Whatever works. How hard is it to write down and follow a coherent drug policy?

True story: I was once at a clinic to get an x-ray.  In the Philippines you get a referral to have an x-ray at a clinic and then go back to the hospital because the hospital does not have an x-ray machine.  And you have to wait serval hours too because there are so many people being x-rayed and the x-ray has to be examined before it is returned. While waiting I went to the back to use the toilet and I kid you not there were rows of piss cups being washed out for reuse!!

With the way the PNP bungles everything they are going to need it! Will they be wearing diapers like when the pope visited?

In what kind of government does the President and Vice President not coordinate and work together? In the corrupt Philippines where partisan politics is the rule. The DDS will cheer but that is because they too are corrupt partisans bought and fooled by the cult of Duterte's celebrity.

“I’m doing it because I have to improve the situation of my country. If I stay here for five years and I did not do anything and the corruption is still there, I would rather resign,” he added.
Hate it break it to Duterte but corruption will be around long after he is gone.  It's the Philippine way.

They have already spent this money. Also there is clearly a typo in this article.  Should be unauthorised and not authorised employee incentives.
Here is the full report: https://freedomhouse.org/report/freedom-net/2017/Philippines. It seems to be a rehash of a lot of old information.

Oh wow!  What a coincidence!
The fire hit Caloocan Police Headquarters at about 4:30 a.m. due to a yet unknown cause, said Modequillo.
Who wants to bet that the unknown cause was either a disgruntled cop or someone trying to cover up crimes?  Oh wait I know who it was.  It was a Yellowtard destabiliser trying to throw the country into chaos.

It's a real problem when you can't take criticism or handle someone asking tough and uncomfortable questions without resorting to invective. He had an opportunity with Trudeau to explain the real situation but he chose instead to grumble and complain about how offered he was. Why wasn't Duterte offended when Chinese President Xi Jinping made him wait two hours before their meeting? Maybe he just kept that to himself.

When asked if he talked to European Council President Donald Tusk about possible donations from the EU, which he had repeatedly rejected, Duterte only had harsh words.
“Forget it. We will survive, even if we have to eat dried fish and rice, we will survive,” Duterte said Tuesday night in a press conference after the country’s hosting of the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Summits.
“Just don’t f*** with my country about sovereignty. That is really an insult. I consider it as a very serious insult,” he added.
So brave.  So bold.

She's got friends in low places where they snort shabu and the Red Horse chases their blues away but they'll be ok.

The fact that anyone could fall for such an absurd idea as applying for a position in a dictatorship just proves how stupid politicians in this country are. This group really thought officials would be dumb enough to sign up for positions in the upcoming Revgov. This is either an ingenious bit of "performance art" or a very weird scam of which the motive remains a complete mystery.
