The God Culture: ChatGPT Analyzes Documento 98

Document 98 of the Spanish "Colección general de documentos relativos a las Islas Filipinas existentes en el Archivo de Indias de Sevilla" is a foundational document to the claims of Timothy Jay Schwab who is The God Culture. It can be read here in the original Spanish

This document is a list of ports between Cape Good Hope and China. Tim believes that this document ends in the Philippines. That is not true and I have written about this document several times proving beyond all reasonable doubt how and why that claim is not true. The document ends in the Lequios Islands which are not and never have been the Philippines. Though written in Spanish it is concerned with Portuguese trade routes and discoveries and they did not discover the Philippines. The document's description is as follows:

These are the places and ports and the main islands that exist from the Cape of Good Hope to the Leyquios, which is what has been discovered the most so far and what is most known in Portugal.

Another document from this collection, which Tim cites in his own Sourcebook, says in no uncertain terms that the Philippines is not mentioned in document 98.

There is not the slightest concrete allusion to the Philippine Archipelago, although the author mentions groups of islands situated at a short distance from it.

http://bdh-rd.bne.es/viewer.vm?id=0000175741&page=1622

Tim dismisses that document as part of a conspiratorial cover-up and an "antiquated paradigm of bias." He also claims this document describes the Lequios as "big, bearded, white men" despite the word "barba" being nowhere in the text. Since Tim claims he has read all the sources he uses that can only mean one thing. Someone altered the document!!! LOL!!!

I uploaded Documento 98 into ChatGPT for an analysis and the full chat is below. Suffice to say ChatGPT says the directions in this document do not terminate in the Philippines. The interesting thing is that ChatGPT lists several reasons why people would be led to believe the Lequios Islands might be the Philippines writing:

The Philippines as Lequios is plausible but speculative

The full conversation can be read at this link. The prompts are "This document is in Spanish. Analyze it in English. Map out the directions", "Some people think the Lequios Islands are the Philippines", and "Do the directions in this document end in the Philippines?."

Some people think the Lequios Islands are the Philippines
ChatGPT said:

Yes—and that’s actually a long-running theory with a mix of truth, speculation, and confusion. Let’s unpack this a bit:

🔍 What the Document Says about the Lequios Islands

At the end of the document, it describes the Lequios Islands as:

  • Lying further east beyond China

  • Populated by white-skinned people

  • Highly civilized, wealthy, and excellent merchants

  • Sending 3–4 junks (ships) annually to Malacca

  • Bringing gold in barssilversilkfine wheat, and porcelain

  • Taking back pepper and other Indian trade goods

  • Not seen since the Portuguese arrived

They are said to be more honorable, better dressed, and wealthier than the Chinese—an unusually glowing review.

🗺️ Why Some Think Lequios = the Philippines

  1. Geographical Ambiguity
The Lequios are described as lying east of China and beyond many other islands, which could suggest the Philippines—especially Luzon.

  2. Trade with Malacca
There is historical record of pre-Hispanic Philippine trade with Malacca, especially from the Luzon-based "Luções" (Tagalog traders and warriors who even served as mercenaries).

  3. “White-skinned” People
Some speculate that this might refer to the lighter-skinned highland peoples of northern Luzon or Visayas—or even just a comparison to darker Southeast Asian coastal groups.

  4. Gold, Porcelain, Silk
    The Philippines had:

    • Extensive gold use and craftsmanship

    • Trade links with ChinaJapan, and Southeast Asia

    • Chinese porcelain found in archaeological sites

    • Cotton and woven textiles, possibly confused with silk by outsiders

  5. Disappearance from Trade Post-Portuguese Arrival
The document notes that Lequios ships stopped coming to Malacca after the Portuguese showed up. That aligns with how Spanish colonization in the Philippines (post-1565) began to reroute trade toward Manila–Acapulco, disrupting older trade routes like Malacca.

🤔 But There’s a Counterpoint: Ryukyu (Liuqiu)

Historically, most scholars identify the Lequios with the Ryukyu Kingdom (modern Okinawa and nearby islands), based on:

  • The phonetic similarity (Lequios ~ Liuqiu)

  • The Ryukyu Kingdom’s trade prominence in the 14th–16th centuries

  • Chinese, Japanese, and European sources calling Ryukyu “Lequio,” “Liqueo,” or similar names

  • Similar descriptions: noble, light-skinned, wealthy, intermediaries in trade

So Ryukyu fits better geographically and in the known historical trade patterns.

🧭 TL;DR:

  • The Philippines as Lequios is plausible but speculative.

  • The Ryukyu Islands are the mainstream historical match.

  • Some aspects of the Philippines’ precolonial trade culture do echo the Lequios description, so the confusion is understandable.

  • The document treats the Lequios almost as a lost golden civilization, which adds to the mystique and opens the door for interpretations like the Ophir theory.

Would you like a side-by-side comparison of Lequios traits vs. the Philippines and Ryukyu? Or would you like me to analyze the Ophir connection from a historical or theological angle?

Do the directions in this document end in the Philippines?
ChatGPT said:

Great question—and one that cuts to the heart of a lot of speculation surrounding this document.

🔍 Short Answer:

No, the directions in this document do not end in the Philippines.
They end with China, the Lequios Islands, and some nearby unnamed or mythic lands further east or north beyond China—but the Philippines are never explicitly mentioned.

📜 Here's the Structure at the End of the Document:

  1. China – described in rich detail: trade, people, goods (including silk, rhubarb, porcelain, silver), ships (junks), and even eating dog meat.

  2. Lequios Islands – described as:

    • Located across the sea from China

    • Populated by light-skinned, richly dressed merchants

    • Sending 3–4 junks annually to Malacca (before the Portuguese arrived)

    • Trading gold, silver, wheat, porcelain, and silk

    • Disappearing from Malacca after the Portuguese arrived

  3. After that, the document fades out with some speculation about “a very large land” beyond the Lequios which some say is mainland or part of a distant group of islands.

📌 Notably Absent:

The Philippines—Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, or any known indigenous names (e.g., LusongSugbuButuanTondo)—are nowhere in the document.

There’s no mention of:

  • Bangka (boats)

  • Tagalog, Visayan, or any other Philippine languages

  • Cebu, Manila, or other known trade cities

  • Pre-Hispanic trade routes to Mexico or Spain (which hadn’t yet begun when this was written)

🧠 What This Tells Us:

This is a Portuguese or Spanish navigational record (dated 1520–1528) that carefully traces the known trade world from Africa to East Asia. When it reaches the furthest known point—China and the mysterious Lequios—the trail ends.

The Philippines had not yet been mapped or entered into Iberian trade consciousness in this document. That came with Magellan in 1521, and Spanish colonization beginning in 1565, which are after or just on the cusp of this document’s dating.

🤔 Why Do Some Think It Refers to the Philippines?

Because the Lequios sound exotic, wealthy, and important—and the Philippines later became central to Spanish trade—they retroactively assume:

"Ah, that must’ve been us!"

But “Lequios” ≠ Philippines in this document.
More likely, Lequios refers to Ryukyu or some unknown land east of China, possibly even mythological.

✅ Final Verdict:

  • The directions end at China and Lequiosnot the Philippines.

  • The Philippines are not mentioned at all.

  • Any connection is interpretive and speculative, not textual or geographical from the document itself.

If you're digging into this for research on OphirLost Tribes, or historical identity, I can help break down the timeline or map the trade routes mentioned. Just say the word.

Pray To God For No Earthquakes Because We Are Not Prepared

The Earth is a large place. The surface of the Earth is made up of seven major tectonic plates which corroborate with the seven continents. Of course there are more plates and many fault lines along those plates where earthquakes occur. On average there are 55 earthquakes per day.

https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/topics/-earthquakes/

There's definitely a whole lotta shakin' goin' on every day on our planet. The National Earthquake Information Center says there are about 55 earthquakes a day around the world — that's 20,000 a year. Fortunately, most are too weak to cause damage, but stronger quakes, depending on location and other factors, can cause casualties, injuries, and property damage.

A quake occurs when two chunks of Earth beneath the surface, or tectonic plates, suddenly slip past each other and release large amounts of pent-up energy. The surface of the slip is called a fault.

The point is earthquakes are a part of the natural order. God created the natural order including how weather functions, which includes destructive typhoons, blizzards, and tornadoes. Nothing happens without God causing it to happen.

Amos 3:6 "Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?"

Isaiah 45:7 "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."

The best humans can do is prepare for these inevitable disasters. Japan has done an exceptional job of preparing against earthquakes and tsunamis. Sometimes God causes more damage than can be prevented but still they prepare.

In the Philippines, a nation plagued with earthquakes and typhoons, they are not prepared. Negros Governor Eugenio Lacson is asking people to pray to God to stop earthquakes around the world and admits Negros Island is not prepared for a massive earthquake.

https://www.sunstar.com.ph/bacolod/negros-occidental-guv-asks-negrenses-to-pray-against-earthquakes

NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson called on Negrenses to pray that massive earthquakes will not occur in the province or in any part of the world.

“For sure, we are not prepared, so we just need to be prayerful and hope that no major earthquake will happen here or in any part of the world,” Lacson said.

This came after several buildings in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, were damaged when a magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck the city on October 7, 2025.

City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) records showed the buildings sustained tension and hairline cracks include the Gil Montilla National High School, market stalls in Barangay Nabulao, People's Hall and Health Center in Barangay Mambaroto, Sangguniang Kabataan building in Barangay Mariculum, and Agripino Alvarez Elementary School.

On September 30, 2025, a magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck northern Cebu, where at least 39,000 houses were damaged. The number of fatalities has reached 72, while at least 1,116 individuals were injured.

Lacson also called for continued prayers for the affected families in Cebu.

He said the province will provide P2 million in financial assistance to Bogo City, one of the areas severely affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake.

Lacson added that he is only waiting for the approval of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for the release of the aid.

Aside from the provincial government, Bacolod City will also provide P2 million in financial assistance to Bogo City.

Mayor Greg Gasataya earlier said they are finalizing the paperwork for the release of the aid.

“The City will be donating P2 million to Bogo City, and it will be turned over to the local government unit as soon as we complete the documents for the release of the check,” he said.

This is simply amazing. God is not going to stop earthquakes. They happen everyday because of the way he created the earth. God says very clearly he blesses the hand of the diligent.

Proverbs 12:24 "The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute."

The proper thing for the Governor to do is not just solicit prayers but to prepare for the Big One. The fact that he admits they are not prepared is quite a revelation.  What are the taxpayers paying for? Sad to say they are paying for an inept government appointed by God.

Romans 13:1 "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."

At least we can be comforted God has turned this man's heart to utter such an idiotic statement.

Proverbs 21:1 "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will."

Prayer is good but earthquakes are not going to stop because of prayer. They are part of the natural order especially in the Philippines which lies on the Ring of Fire. It is far better to accompany prayer with readiness.

I wrote the above on the evening of October 9th. A little more than 12 hours later a destructive earthquake with a 7.4 magnitude struck off the coast of Mindanao near Davao Oriental. Hours after that another earthquake with a 6.9 magnitude struck off the coast of Davao Oriental.

https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/2123288/7-dead-as-7-4-and-6-9-quakes-strike-off-davao-oriental

At least seven people were reported dead after a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck off Davao Oriental on Friday morning, followed about 10 hours later by another temblor with a magnitude of 6.9, with the coastal town of Manay bearing their brunt.

The 9:43 a.m. quake—its epicenter about 40 kilometers to 60 kilometers southeast of Manay’s coast—was the third to hit the country in a span of 10 days and the strongest yet. On the night of Sept 30, it was Cebu province that got hit by a magnitude 6.9 earthquake that left 74 people dead.

Prayers cannot and will not stop earthquakes. To think so is to treat prayer as a magic spell.  Earthquakes and typhoons will happen. That is why the Philippines must prepare for the inevitbale.

Retards in the Government 438

It's your weekly compendium of foolishness and corruption in the Philippine government.

https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/topstories/nation/961131/chiz-escudero-ethics-complaint-p30-million-campaign-contribution/story/

A complaint has been filed before the Senate Committee on Ethics against Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero over the P30-million campaign donation he received in 2022 from contractor Lawrence Lubiano.

According to a report on "State of the Nation," the lawyer-complainant alleged that the donation placed in jeopardy the integrity of the Senate as an institution.

Lubiano, the president of Centerways Construction and Development, Inc., told a congressional inquiry that the donation came from his personal funds and not from the company.

He said Escudero also disclosed his donation and his name as a campaign donor in the senator's statement of contributions and expenditures.

Under the Omnibus Election Code, those who have contracts with the government are prohibited from making contributions to partisan political activity.

In a statement, Escudero said he was no longer surprised by the complaint.

He said it was the consequence of his remarks against Speaker Martin Romualdez in a recent manifestation in the Senate plenary.

Escudero said the complaint was also part of the script and a desperate cover-up.

GMA News Online is trying to get Romualdez's comment.

In a statement, Romualdez said Escudero's manifestation that he was behind the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte was meant to position himself as an ally of the Vice President in the 2028 elections.

He said Escudero's remarks were from a Duterte Diehard Supporters' (DDS) script, calling them rehashed and false.

Gunmen killed a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman and wounded two others, including a policeman, in an ambush at a busy thoroughfare in this city at noon on Saturday, October 4.

Prince Mohaz Rafsanjanie Matanog, SK chairman of Barangay Poblacion 5 and a third-year engineering student at Cotabato City State University, died instantly from multiple gunshot wounds.

His relative, Muamar Salvador Matanog, was seriously wounded in the attack.

The two were aboard a red Toyota Raize and were reportedly on their way to an undisclosed location when gunmen opened fire at the intersection of Jose Lim Sr. Street and Sinsuat Avenue — just a short distance from Cotabato City Police Precinct 1.

Also injured was Patrolman Norsaiden Laguiali, who was on duty and had responded to the incident when he was shot by the suspects.

The gunmen fled on motorcycles before police reinforcements arrived.

Cotabato City police director Col. Jibin Bongacayao and Brig. Gen. Jaysen De Guzman, director of the Police Regional Office–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, said investigators are coordinating with Matanog’s relatives and barangay officials to identify the assailants.

https://www.philstar.com/nation/2025/10/04/2477309/dpwh-engineer-arrested-estafa

Former Las Piñas-Muntinlupa district engineer Isabelo Baleros was arrested in his office at the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Port Area, Manila for multiple counts of estafa, Las Piñas Rep. Mark Anthony Santos said yesterday.

According to Santos’ office, Judge Tammy Ann Reyes Mendillo of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 22 issued a warrant for Baleros’ arrest on Sept. 30 for violations of Article 315 of the Revised Penal Code.

Bail for Baleros’ temporary liberty was set at P48,000.

Police officers, who briefed Santos on the case, said Baleros’ co-accused – Ferdinand Villar, Dennis Aguilar and Tony Espi – remain at large.

According to Santos’ office, they are investigating whether Ferdinand Villar is related to former senators Manny and Cynthia Villar and are verifying if Dennis Aguilar is a former Las Piñas councilor.

“This is the tip of the iceberg. If DPWH really wants to prove it is serious about reforms, they must not only fire but also jail these officials. The P450 million stolen from Las Piñas is not just a number – it’s the people’s hard-earned money. We will not let this go unanswered,” Santos said in a statement.

DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon earlier issued a show-cause order against Baleros and nine other engineers over allegations of lavish lifestyles and involvement in substandard projects.

The officials were given five days to submit their explanations.

https://mb.com.ph/2025/10/03/sandiganbayan-affirms-with-modification-conviction-of-5-ex-pagcor-officials

The Sandiganbayan has affirmed with modification the conviction for graft and malversation of public funds of former chairman Efraim C. Genuino and four other officials of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
Instead of only imprisonment and payment of fines, Genuino and his group were also imposed civil liabilities equivalent to the fines imposed on them.
In a resolution issued last Oct. 1, the anti-graft court denied the motion for reconsideration filed by Genuino and others as it granted the appeal of the prosecution.
In its May 9, 2025 decision, the court convicted Genuino, former president and chief operating officer Rafael A. Francisco, former senior vice president for administration Rene C. Figueroa, former senior vice president for corporate communications services Edward "Dodie" F. King, and former assistant vice president for internal audit Valente C. Custodio guilty of five counts of graft and five counts of malversation.
They were sentenced to six to 10 years imprisonment for each graft conviction and 10 to 17 years for three malversation convictions, and reclusion perpetua for the other two malversation convictions.
They were likewise slapped with fines of P6,370,000, P4,761,875, P2,389,093.05, P11,907,500, and P19,740,930 as well as perpetual special disqualification from holding public office.
On the other hand, they were acquitted of the other 14 graft and 15 malversation charges.
Genuino and the others moved for the partial reconsideration of the court's decision, arguing that the prosecution failed to prove that they had ill, corrupt, or fraudulent intent in the subject transactions.
They added that the prosecution failed to prove they misappropriated PAGCOR funds, and the exhibits presented by the prosecution, specifically those that bear Genuino's signatures, are mere unauthenticated photocopies.
"After an assiduous review of the records, the court finds that the accused failed to raise new and material allegations in the respective motions that would convince the court to reconsider its previous finding of guilt," the court’s resolution stated.
"Conversely, the court finds merit to the prosecution's Motion for Partial Reconsideration, warranting the imposition of civil liability against the accused," it added.
Thus, the court held Genuino, Francisco, Figueroa, King, and Custodia liable, jointly and severally, to return and reimburse to the government, through the Bureau of Treasury, the amounts of P6,370,000, P4,761,875, P2,389,093.05, P11,907,500, P19,740,930 "which shall earn legal interest at the rate of six percent per annum computed from the finality of this decision until fully paid."
The 28-page resolution was written by Associate Justice Ronald B. Moreno with the concurrence of Third Division Chairperson and Associate Justice Karl B. Miranda and Associate Justice Edgardo M. Caldona.
The criminal charges stemmed from the illegal disbursement of PAGCOR funds for the purchase of promotional items such as shirts, caps, tarpaulins, and other items from 2005 to 2008 for BIDA Foundation, which was founded by Genuino.
The Sandiganbayan has affirmed with modification the conviction for graft and malversation of public funds of former chairman Efraim C. Genuino and four other officials of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation.

The Office of the Ombudsman has placed San Simon, Pampanga Mayor Abundio “JP” Punsalan Jr. under preventive suspension for six months without pay in connection with two administrative complaints filed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

The cases stem from an August 5 entrapment operation in which he allegedly accepted P30 million that he had demanded from a Chinese-Filipino businessman.

“Based on the evidence on record, it is preliminarily established that the guilt of [Punsalan] is strong and the charges against him involve grave misconduct, serious dishonesty, and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service,” stated the Ombudsman’s order dated Sept. 30, and signed by acting Ombudsman Dante Vargas.

Vargas added that the penalty for such offenses is removal from service.

The NBI, along with Real Steel Corporation representatives Irwin Chua and Melodie Arellano, filed the administrative cases after also charging Punsalan in the Sandiganbayan with robbery by means of extortion, violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, and violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act following the entrapment operation.

Real Steel Corp. president Irwin Chua alleged that Punsalan lowered his demand from P155 million to P80 million and sought an initial payment of P30 million in exchange for allowing the corporation to continue operating in San Simon and for not interfering with the implementation of local tax incentive ordinances.

Vargas said there was “enough basis to conclude that his continued stay in office may prejudice the just, fair, and independent disposition of the present cases.” The preventive suspension was issued in accordance with Republic Act No. 6770, or the Ombudsman Act of 1989.

Reached for comment, the mayor’s counsel, Atty. Raymond Viray, counsel for Punsalan, said: “We will reserve our arguments for the court. What is important is that the Mayor is cooperating fully and is committed to clearing his name.”

The Office of the Ombudsman has placed San Simon, Pampanga Mayor Abundio “JP” Punsalan Jr. under preventive suspension for six months without pay in connection with two administrative complaints filed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

A deputy police chief in Cavite province — whom authorities did not name — was put into restrictive custody for allegedly raping a detainee in their station, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.

In a press briefing in Camp Crame on Wednesday, PNP public information chief Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño said the relieved deputy police chief was taken into custody last Sept. 19 and charged last Sept. 23 for violating Republic Act No. 8353 or the Anti-Rape Law, Tuaño noted.

“This deputy chief of police, our suspect is currently in restrictive custody at the Cavite Police Provincial Office. Our victim is being considered to be moved to another custodial facility,” he detailed.

The PNP public information chief did not name the deputy police chief but said he had the rank of police lieutenant and was stationed at the Noveleta police station.

According to Tuaño, the rape incident allegedly occurred in the station early Sept. 4 morning.

The victim — a 34-year-old woman detained in Noveleta for drug-related charges — reported the incident to the police on Sept. 18, Tuaño added.

“BAs part of our zero-tolerance policy, that the Philippine National Police leadership will not tolerate these violations by their men, their police chief was replaced last Sept. 19,” Tuaño further noted.

Additionally, Tuaño said the PNP was looking to file administrative cases against the relieved deputy police chief and his superior over the alleged rape incident.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has sanctioned 269 erring police officers and filed 239 cybercrime-related complaints in September.

“Our zero-tolerance policy [among police personnel] remains non-negotiable... We made it clear: no violation goes unchecked. These actions show our determination to uphold accountability and restore confidence in the PNP,” said Nartatez.
