Pinoy politicians are notorious for sticking their faces all over the place so their constituents don't forget about them. The term for this phenomenon is called epal.
Congressman George Gasataya has his face displayed on banners all over the city. Nothing strange about that. All politicians do it. But I think this Dog Show Award really takes the cake.
Have you ever seen anything more stupid in your life? First of all this is an award for the "1st Congressman Greg Gasataya Dog Show." The fact that there is a big "1st" written on the large plaque could give the impression that this is a first place trophy when it is in fact 3rd place.
Second of all why is the dog show named after him? Does everything he sponsors have to bear his name? Like this basketball league.

As a politician why not just be listed as a sponsor and name it after the city? Same with the dog show. Why not name it after the city?
Third of all....why? Why is his face the most prominent feature on this DOG Show Award!? Is he a dog? Yet there he is grinning at you while all the dogs are relegated to second status down at the bottom and are much smaller.

You know what this guy is everything that is wrong with politicians in this country. Self-serving, self-promoting, doing everything for self, self, SELF!
What can I say though? He's acting like a normal Philippine politician.
