The current administration wants a new Constitution. One of the ways to do that is to convene a special session where the House and Senate gather together to craft a Constitution. This is called a Constituent Assembly. It is also known by another name.
Con-Ass.
Con-Ass.
Buckle up!
Just another step to total dictatorship.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure about that. This is not the first time they have proposed changes to the Constitution. Several times before they have attempted to change some of the economic provisions. Once they even wanted to instate a parliamentary form of government. But now they want federalism. Any changes made to the constitution must be decided on by a plebiscite which means the whole nation will vote on it. Attempted changes in the past have not born any fruit and it's not guaranteed they will this time either.
DeleteI can't get over the fact that they would rather use the ridiculous terms "Con-Ass", "Con-Con", and "Cha-Cha" to describe these political processes than the full terms Constituent Assembly, Constitutional Convention, and Charter Change. It's like baby talk.
