A few days ago I read an article that said a lot of people were left stranded because of the government cracking down on old, polluting jeepnies which led to a shortage of jeepnies. What a shame all that artwork will go to waste!
You're fortunate to be living somewhere where the Jeeps look the be fairly new. In Metro Manila they're the old style Jeepney (US Jeep look alike).
They're all falling apart with almost every panel already dented. Most of them are poorly tuned smoke blowers driven by nothing to lose IDIOTS. In the NCR,the days of funky Jeeps with cool artwork is mostly a thing of the past.
Every once in a while I'll see one that has great artwork and I remember a time when they were all pieces of art (in my case 1978).
Duterte is a murdering asshole. However, on his initiative to remove these pieces of shit from the roads of the NCR, he has my full support.
Thank you for all your great work. Love your blog which I read daily. Keep it up and more power to you!
